Tailgatin' is the best picnic of the season. We all love the cheerin' of our favorite team, to good foods, and the fellowship of like minded folks, some of which are friends we haven't met yet. It doesn't really matter where you are "The Big House" , "The Horse Shoe" , "Don Paul Stadium" in Fremont, Ohio, or perhaps in your driveway with the big screen TV the party is on. Here are a few starters fer your fall picnic or any other time you decide.

Uncle Mike's Meat Balls

Ingredients
1 bag of frozen meatballs
1 small jar grape jam
1 jar chili sauce

Directions
Warm the jam and chili sauce together, add the warm meatballs and serve.

Bean Salad

Ingredients
a can of green beans drained
a can of yellow beans drained
a can of red beans drained
a can of grabanzo beans drained
a can of carrots drained
medium red onion diced
medium bell pepper diced
2 stalks celery fine diced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 Tablespoon dry parsley flakes

Directions
toss it all in a bowl, cover, chill 3-4 days before servin'

Muffalletto Salad

Ingredients
8 oz jar sliced green olives drained
8 oz jar sliced black olives drained
4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
25 oz jar gardinia mix drained
1 can whole kernel corn drained
1 medium onion diced
2 stalks celery diced
1 small bell pepper diced
8oz pepperonni sliced in half
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoom dried sweet basil
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil

Directions
Toss it all in bowl, cover, chill 3-4 days before servin'

Kool Aide Pickles

Ingredients
25 oz jar of dill spears drained
1 pkg red Kool Aide
1 cup sugar
water to cover it all

Directions
Leave pickles in jar, add sugar, Kool Aide, water, shake just enough to dissolve sugar, screw lid back on first, then chill a week before servin'

Note all three of these recipes work well with Splenda in place of the sugar, all three will hold in the refrigeratir fer at least 30 days. The recipes are no yours change them if you want.

Now y'all git out there and cheer on the home team. Eat a little, have an ice cold beverage or perhaps a good cuppa Columbian coffee and cheer !!!
