According to disclosure statements provided to the Federal Election Committee (FEC), Wal-Mart CEO H. Lee Scott was among those who donated to Republican Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign in the second quarter of campaign giving.

Scott and his wife Linda each gave the maximum allowable donation of $2300 to Huckabee's campaign. Huckabee is the former governor of Arkansas, home of Wal-Mart's headquarters. Other Arkansas businesspeople who have donated to Huckabee's presidential campaign include Don and John Tyson of Tyson Foods.

According to the Atlantic, Huckabee and Scott have worked together in the past. When Huckabee chaired the National Governors Association Conference in 2006, he invited Scott to speak to the governors regarding the meeting's focus, health care. Ironically, at the time, the majority of Wal-Mart employees are not covered by the company's health plan. Note that Huckabee lost over 100 pounds and is a vocal advocate of a healthy lifestyle, having written the book Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork.

According to WakeUpWalMart, Huckabee has been a Wal-Mart supporter in the past. Huckabee is described as a "loyal Wal-Mart shopper" who believes that those who have been outspoken regarding Wal-Mart are competitors or union supporters who are looking to bring unions into Arkansas' largest employer.

I live in Marshall. Mo and recently about a month ago bought a 32 inch tv from one of your sister stores and I don't have my receipt of course any way I was moving saturday this pass saturday and was taking the cable off the tv to move it out of the house i was living in so it could be put on the truck and the part where the cable is screwed onto came off with the cable. And of course I called your sister store to see if I could get the tv replaced then I got grabbage about what did the receipt have at the bottom of it. Really I don't care what the receipt might of had at the bottom of it and just to let you know that i will not be shopping at your stores any more and will be advising friends and family to do the same you don't care about the people who spend their hard earned money in your store and I care about every cent I make . thank you have a great day.
