There is a saying, "show me your friends, and I will show you you're future." This statement is true. Friends will lift you up, bring you down, or do nothing for you.

Everyday I am around people who either are so negative, that you want to flee their presence. Then at other times I am around people that are living in la la land because no one ever disagrees with them on anything. The final group is the people who do not know what they have in front of them.

I am a huge fan of Donald Trump, no surprise. When it comes to real estate, he is the go to guy. When it comes to marriage, he is not my mentor.

I tend to read one of his books every couple of months to freshen my ideas. As rough as he can be, he is actually a great encourager to people who don't waste his time. He is a consummate teacher and mentor. That is not something people think of when they think of Donald Trump, but it is what I have found to be true.

When I was at a speech of his at The Learning Annex's Real Estate and Wealth Expo, I finally got to see the man that I had watched on TV or read his books. He was humorous, but sharp on financial matters. He answered questions thoroughly, and with points that someone could use. Like one piece of advice that I had read and heard from him before, was not to be so invested in a deal that you can't walk away. He talked about how some people were ruined because they had live or die deals which put the other party in control. Their need eliminated the ability to walk away from unfavorable terms.

I have been to enough motivational, success, and business seminars to write my own. It would be so easy to dismiss the redundant, but the truth is that it is necessary if you are not taking action.

You know what I mean? It is like a diet. It is good to fantasize, but weight does not come off by thinking about it. It requires action, change, and decisions.

The tips I have come away with are priceless. Here are a few.
