First, let's talk logistics. You can get to Central Park off of I-95 about 40 minutes from Richmond and about 50 minutes from D.C. From I-95 you take exit 130B and then you simply follow the exit right into Central Park. You should probably plan to spend at least most of your day here if you are coming for your first visit.
Central Park has many of the stores that you can find in Anytown, USA - think Target, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, and Best Buy. The unique thing about Central Park is that they are all within a stone's throw of one another, so you don't have to travel all over town running errands. Central Park also has a section of specialty shops that are unique to Fredericksburg, which make it worth the trip if you are coming from out of town. I have included a list of shops and restaurants at the end of the article for your enjoyment. If you are here for more than a few hours, you are bound to get hungry. No problem! Central Park has more restaurants in a one mile radius than I've ever seen - Ruby Tuesday, Cici's Pizza, Olive Garden, Joe's Crab Shack, and IHOP - just to scratch the surface. There are also the obligatory fast food stops like Chic-fil-a and McD's among others scattered throughout Central Park. Are your feet tired from walking around so much? Take a seat and enjoy a movie at the Regal 15 movie plex or get pampered at one of the many salons. No matter what you are looking for, whether it be the Dollar Tree or a place to drop $10,000 on an engagement ring, Central Park truly does have it all! Happy Shopping!
