Tips on Searching for Lost Yearbooks

Maybe you could not afford a yearbook when you were in school. Or, maybe you have lost your old yearbooks during a move or some sort of disaster. It's unfortunate to lose these old memories. With the internet such a helpful tool for us today, replacing these lost memories may not be impossible any more. If you are looking for old yearbooks, here are some things you can do to search for and, hopefully, find them.

Contact the School

First, check with your old schools. Search for the school on line and send an email to someone at the school letting them know what you are looking for. Sometimes schools keep old yearbooks in the library or in storage. You may be able to purchase an extra one or get them to make a copy of an original yearbook for you. This is a pretty simple way to get your old yearbooks, if your school still exists.

Ebay

Ebay has everything for sale, including yearbooks. You can search ebay for the yearbooks you are looking for. Since it is an auction site, items available change quite often, so you may need to check the site on a regular basis. If you are a registered user on ebay, you can make a "want it now" post. This allows you to post exactly what you are looking for, and if someone has it they will reply and let you know the details on it.

Online Searches

There are several websites around that are dedicated to yearbooks and people searching for their old yearbooks. Most of them list yearbooks available for sale by school or year. Some also allow people to make posts for the yearbooks they are searching for.
