Cleveland is known for being the home of professional sports teams, such as the Indians, Browns, and Cavs. It is also known for being the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cleveland is also the home of the Great Lakes Science Center, a $55 million high-tech museum that is one of the country's largest hands-on science museums.

At the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland you can watch an eight foot tornado twist before your eyes and even touch it, try out your skills in a game of virtual soccer, learn 101 things you can do with your printer, and learn what makes the Internet go. You can also learn what happens when you just add water, investigate the sick earth, experience the power of lightning first hand, view the Gund Wintergarden, a dramatic nine-story enclosed atrium with spectacular views of Lake Erie, and see the Cleveland Clinic Omnimax Theatre, a six-foot high domed theater with 11,600 watts of digital sound that makes viewers feel they are in the picture. The theatre has some well known movies, including The Return of Superman.

Some of the experiments at the Great Lakes Science Center can also be found online at the website of the Center, including experiments concerning the printer, adding water, and exploring the internet.

With the experiments involving the printer, you can make a paper helicopter that will spin on its axis and do a roll. You can also learn to make paper airplanes that far surpass a normal paper plane, including one that will do spins and tricks.

Learning about the Internet You can learn how to use Google as a calculator or to find almost any individual or business using a phone number. You will learn how to travel back in time with the Internet and how to race across the Internet.

One exhibit at the Great Lakes Science Center is Dinosaurs Alive. You will see the big creatures on the big screen through computer generation. Proof will be shown that dinosaurs are still among us.

With Hurricane on the Bayou, you can experience the beauty of the Bayou in Louisiana before and after Hurricane Katrina.
