Giuliani Campaign Announces Chair and Co-Chairs in California

With 55 electoral votes, more than any other state, California will be a key battle state for the Giuliani campaign. Typically a Democratic stronghold, the newly appointed state leadership team is confident that it can propel Giuliani to the White House.

The newly-appointed California State Chair is Bill Simon. Simon was also appointed earlier in 2007 as the Director of Policy for the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, according to JoinRudy2008.com. Formerly a gubernatorial candidate in California, Simon is a native of New Jersey. When Giuliani was a U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Simon served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.
