The Beginning of Jamesport Vineyards

Jamesport Vineyards is a result of the Father and Son teamwork that started in 1981 in Early Rising Farm in Cutchogue. This makes Jamesport Vineyards one of the first vineyards in North Fork, Long Island, New York. Jamesport Vineyards boast of 60 acres of perfect vineyards, most of which are for Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Through out its existence, Jamesport Vineyards has concentrated and utilized strict cultivation of grape vines. Now, Jamesport Vineyards produce have been regarded as one of the best in the State of New York, with many winemakers forming a queue just to buy their grapes. Jamesport Vineyards is indeed a real property of good winery.

All Jamesport Vineyards wines are manufactured utilizing only the best grapes of the estate. In the year 2004, Jamesport Vineyards became the recipient of eight highly prestigious awards at the New York Wine & Food Classic, one of which was the "Best Red Wine" for their 2001 Cabernet Franc.

But how this it came start? Ronald Goerler Sr. became the owner of this One Hundred Fifty year old real property located in Main road, Jamesport in the year 1986. At that time, the estate already had its wine manufacturing and tasting area.

Using his great experience in Cutchogue fruit, and with his brilliant, son Ron Jr., Ronald Goerler Sr. embarked on the business of Jamesport Vineyards in 1989. From that time onwards, many things have happened for the better, not only with the estate's beautification, but also with respect to its farming techniques.

Moreover, the tasting area has expanded to give more space to visiting winemakers. Likewise, a verdant garden is always ready for any occasion including musical performances.
