Ebay is one of the easiest and fastest ways to make some extra cash. How do you find products to sell without spending a ton of money up front ? Many people spend a lot of time looking for inexpensive stuff to sell on Ebay at yard sales, thrift stores and flea markets. But the cheapest way of all is to get your stuff for free. But where in the world would free stuff just be lying around for you to find? Here are a few places for you to start looking.

Look On The Ground

When you're out walking your dog, keep your eyes open. Pine cones, moss, pine needles, shells, driftwood, even rocks. Crafters need pine cones and moss for their floral arrangements and wreaths, especially around the holidays. Pet owners will pay a bundle for a cool-looking piece of driftwood with tunnels and caves for their fish tanks. Crafters and artists will also buy driftwood for art projects. Pine needles can be sold to basket weavers, and the long ones can fetch high prices, especially if they're hand-dyed. If you have a river on your property with lots of pebbles, you can sell the pretty colored ones as aquarium rocks. Take a walk on the beach and you can collect driftwood and shells to sell, but if you're lucky, you might also find other treasures like glass floats, sea glass, even trilobite fossils. Bring a metal detector along, and there's no telling what you might find.

Look in Your Garbage Can

There are plenty of things that sell well on Ebay that most people would normally throw away. Those little glass baby food jars? Wash them up really well and make sure you get all the stickers off the sides. People buy those all the time. And the square plastic ones sell fine too. Artists buy empty Altoid tins for altered art projects. Save them up and sell in lots for the best price. Crafters and artists buy anything from old buttons and junk jewelry to used cigar boxes and old Barbie dolls. Old magazines can be sold whole, or you can get creative, and cut out pictures to sell as "collage supplies" . You can also sell clippings of celebrities (in lots, if you have several of the same celebrity). Check your junk mail before you toss it. People buy all kinds of coupons on ebay.

Before listing an item on eBay, it's a good idea to research similar items that have already been sold successfully on the site. You can find great information on pricing, features, and key "buzz words" that attract buyers--and compare your item to others in the marketplace by using Completed Listings. Completed Listings shows you which items sold and at what price which will help in pricing your items. Also it indicates what each seller charged for shipping. When you are ready to sell just click the link "List an item like this" to get started. Free How To Sell on eBay Guide
