Choosing What Article to Write: An Essay on Writing

We all come to a point when we need to choose what article to write. This is not a simple decision; writing is all about making choices. This article will help with the decision in writing an article, whether it be on crafts or super heroes who can fly over buildings.

When choosing the article the first point we want to make is the time it will take us. This does not necessarily mean that one article is 500 words and another is 1,000 words and choosing the shorter one. Instead what it means is whether we already can write from experience. The first articles should always be from experience. If the writer has a deep knowledge of cooking but little knowledge on biographies, then the easy choice here is to write the cooking. Writing the biography article can wait; perhaps in our free time we can do some reading-and then we can write the article with more experience.

Before payment we should decide on whether an article will be enjoyable to write. Payment will be a key point, but writing should be fun at least some of the time-even if it's a career. If we love writing these cooking articles, but hate studying books for articles on biographies, then we should go with the more enjoyable choice. Sometimes joy can be found in writing the article we think we can't as well.

When we challenge ourselves with a tough article the other articles will seem easier. Writing does not have to be about what we know on every occasion, and these challenges are important to any writer gaining confidence in themselves. We should not always make it hard to write, especially when beginning the days writing, but writing is a fruitful process if we allow ourselves to work on the harder subjects.

So, choose on article that you can write from experience on, one you know will be a joy to write, and one that is a challenge. Sometimes these will border on each other: the article we have experience in might be fun to write; or the article we think won' be fun is, but still a challenge to write.
