Come on guys, there is still a lot of time left in the summer, and if you live in the south or on the West Coast, there is infinite time to enjoy the nice weather. But it's so hard to want to do that when you take off your shirt and look like an aging bag of cookie dough than you do a man carved out of wood.

I know, I've been there and it's taken me time to get to a point where I almost feel completely comfortable with my shirt off. A side note: don't be one of those guys who always takes their shirt off. I was almost fifty pounds overweight and exercise was an evil word, but I turned things around and I'm living a better life because of it.

So what can you do to turn that flab into fab and find a way to make ladies swoon instead of spew? I'm glad you've asked because I'm laying out for you a fool proof plan of common sense and responsibility that will transform that will transform you into the body you can live with.

1. Get Your Perspective Straight - If you want to look like John Cena or Brad Pitt, just walk away from the computer and forget you ever started reading this article. Those goals are attainable only with the help of a personal chef, a personal trainer, a nutritionist, and if you're looking at it from the wrestling side, perhaps some human growth hormones. Those goals are fleeting to your progress. You'll try for a month and if the six pack isn't there you'll run back to the drive through and nothing will ever change. You need to work out for improved health and strength. Work out for a better life, not so you can look like fitness models. It rarely happens. There is too much in your life to devote 3 hours a day at the gym and your diet often has to be alter at a moments notice. Work out because your body will thank you when you avoid heart disease and diabetes. Work out because your body wants to be able to move from the couch when you're 70. Get that frame of mind and then get to a gym.

Takeaways
  • Be careful with supplements
  • Workout when it's a good time for you
  • Change your perspective
