Weddings can be very expensive. There are many small items and details that can add up to a large bill. Therefore, I feel that it is best to do anything yourself that you can.

Many couples decide to offer small favor gifts at their wedding. It seems to have become a tradition to offer small types of thank-yous at birthday parties and celebrations. Instead of paying someone big bucks to make wedding favors for you, try making them yourself. These wedding favors can be made well in advance. They can be very cute and very cheap. All you need is a good idea. In this article, I will offer some ideas that I have seen or created for making your own wedding favors. They are all very simple and can be made without a lot of cost.

Hugs and Kisses
This idea is very simple.

Materials

Hershey's Hugs
Hershey's Kisses
Netting (any color)
Ribbon (any color)
Hole Punch
Card Stock
Computer with Printer

Using your computer print off the following saying to attach to each favor.

Hugs and Kisses from (the bride and groom). Date of wedding.

Decide how many favors you will need. Cut a square piece of net for each favor. Place a hug and a kiss in the middle of each square. Pull the sides up around the candy. Tie at the top with the ribbon. Leave enough ribbon to attach the card.

Cut one of the printed phrases from cardstock.

Punch a hole in one end.

Attach to the ribbon at the top of the candy sack.

Light with Love

Materials

Small flashlight
Ribbon
Cardstock/paper
Computer with printer
Hole punch

Purchase a small flashlight for each favor. I have purchased the flashlights from Oriental Trading Company. They are about a couple of inches long.

Print the following phrase on paper or cardstock.

(Bride & Groom's name, date of wedding)- Lighting their way with love.

Attach one phrase to each flashlight using the hole punch and ribbon.

Flaming Hearts

Materials

Solid white lighters
Computer with printer
Self-sticking labels to fit each flashlight

Using a printer, print the desired number of labels with the following phrase:

(Bride & Groom's name, date of wedding)- Burning a flame in their hearts.

Create a Memory
