The anti-environmental and anti-global warming movements are best characterized by the fact that they conduct arguments in opposition to any environmental regulations by making outlandish accusations against the other side without backing those arguments up with any evidence. Because those who back Pres. Bush's longstanding ridicule of not only Al Gore but anyone who dares to suggest that the earth is warming up but it is certainly not the fault of human beings, the anti-environmental movement is best characterized as utilizing the age-old tactic of attacking the messenger.

People like Pres. Bush, and his environmental czar Michael Crichton, and Rectal Noun and most of the GOP candidates for President frequently charge that those in the environmental movement use false information and exaggerate the threats facing the planet to scare people into accepting their agenda. And yet not once has anyone on that side of the argument produced any credible evidence backed up by a majority of scientists that the claims being made are untrue. What makes this fact even more outrageous is that it is the people who wholeheartedly reject the existence of global warmingâ€"more often than not based on highly specious reporters typically sponsored by the same big companies that stand to take the biggest hit from responsible environmental regulationâ€"who accuse the environmental movement of failing to provide convincing scientific evidence to back up their claims. For some reason, the anti-environmental movement seems to take it as evidence they are onto something that, in fact, the overwhelming majority of scientists throughout the world have gone on record supporting the theory of global warming while no study offering an alternative explanation has ever been as widely accepted.
