More of a lunch counter than a cafe, though they do have coffee so I guess they qualify on the technicality. Preet's is a tiny place, a literal hole in the wall on Market Street near the intersection with Sixth Street. It's a doable walk from the Civic Center and Powell MUNI/BART stations. The space is dominated by a front counter where orders are placed. There are three stools or so to either side of the counter, with a small tabletop on either side at which you can conceivably sit and eat, however one of these is right by the cream and sugar and such for the coffee so for practical purposes that side is pretty much ruled out from use. More or less, plan to take your food to go if you're eating here.

Pizza is the specialty of the house, and single slices are right about average price for this area ($2.00 to $3.00). The quality is decent. Sandwiches and wraps go for about $5 to $6 and are likewise decent, particularly when you have them toast the sub. There's also some basic salads, and a fairly large beef hot dog for $2.75 which was served up sloppy on a generic bun with ketchup and mustard smeared all over the place (but was pretty tasty all the same). Service time is on the average side, 5 to 10 minutes or so depending on what you order. The food isn't stunning, but it's serviceable.
