He said he would never see another,
but she said she was working undercover.
Then all his lies tended to fall through.

She promised no sex before marriage,
but he packed more shit for her to carry,
on her back full of promises old and new.
Including his speech of "I love you."

She waits by the phone again,
Falling asleep with more lies.
He always says he's sorry.
He begs and pleads, "Will you forgive me?"

She said she would never do it again.
He played a sad song on his violin,
wondering how to live as time passed them by.

A good girl crying for such dangerous reasons,
a bad boy feeding her shit to believe in.
Then they both say they'll give it one more try.

She waits by the phone again,
Falling asleep with more lies.
He always says he's sorry.
He begs and pleads, "Will you forgive me?"

She said that she's gonna leave.
He begged, "Darling don't do this to me!
I've made mistakes and I don't know why."

She said, "Our relationship isn't right,
you've fucked around one too many times.
But now I've got a secret and I have to tell the truth.
While you were sleeping with her, I was fucking around on you."

She waits by the phone again,
Falling asleep with more lies.
He always says he's sorry.
He begs and pleads, "Will you forgive me?"
