Are You "Pressed on Every Side by Troubles"?

As I was reading the Bible tonight, I prayed and asked God, to show me something to encourage me, and to teach me God's will.

God showed me some amazing scriptures tonight, that really enlighened me and made me humble. This may or may not benifit you, however I hope that if you are in need of some encouragment, that this will help you.

So here it goes: This comes from the New Living Translation: Life Recovery Bible; 2 Corinthians 4

4:8-10 "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed but we area not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not distroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies".

Because of God's love and mercy He is showing us a new way of living, a way of living through Jesus Christ our Savior.

4:2 "We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don't try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this".

When we get rid of our denial and admit our sins/wrongs to God, He begins to change us, into His own image. His image is, a loving, generous, kind, forgiving, joyful, humble, and honest heart. To have Jesus salvation we must first accept Him as our Lord and Savior, then we must have Jesus's image reflecting within us. God takes us as we are, believe me when I tell you we, can not change ourself without God's divine intervention. Once we allow God to take over our life, we will begin to open our eyes to new things both good and bad.

4:7 "We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves."

Have you ever felt like you were just doing great, like you were on top of the mountain? Then have you felt like you just fell, into the valleys and got lost in the crowd? I am about to attempt to explain this scripture, any ideas are always welcome!
