Bleach is a popular Japanese anime series from this popular publication in Japan called "Weekly Shonen Jump". It revolves a fictional place in Japan known as Kurakura Town and the main character is fifteen year old Ichigo Kurosaki a mild-mannered high school student living with his two sisters and his very immature father. One thing about Ichigo is that he can see spirits.

It's pretty normal half-way through the first episode until Ichigo comes across a young girl about his age. For some reason, only Ichigo can see the person. The girl is fighting some monster with a white mask and a hole in the chest. However, nobody else except for Ichigo notices the fight for some reason.

When the fighting takes place, the bystanders perceive it as some accident. Ichigo's trying to figure out what's going on. Later that night, the same girl shows up in Ichigo's bedroom snooping around. It's as if she's looking for something. Ichigo calls out to the girl but ignores him. Shortly after, Ichigo plants his foot into the back of her head. The girl gets the best of Ichigo.

However, the girl is shocked to see that Ichigo can actually see her. He explains that he can see ghosts and spirits. Then, they are attacked by that same monster. It seemed that the monster was after Ichigo. The girl introduces herself as Rukia Kuchiki a "shinigami" or "soul-reaper".

Due to some circumstances, Rukia gets hurt and Ichigo ends up taking over. Ichigo finds himself in a "spiritual" form and his body is laying unconscious nearby. He effortlessly defeats the monster that is deemed a "Hollow".

Ichigo wakes up in his body. His family has no idea of the battle. They said that a delivery truck backed into the house. At school, he sees Rukia again. This time everybody else can see her. Rukia gives Ichigo a note threatening to kill him if he tells them who she is. However, it seems that Rukia happens to be a natural born actress due to her ability to adapt and blend into the crowd.

Bleach is very good. I like Naruto as well. Anime isn't just cartoons as it is percieved in today's society.
