Fruit trees are so nice in our yard. We wait each year for the fruit to get ripe so we can pick them. It can be awful discouraging when you pick your fruit and see that a insect has already got to it first. Insects can infest and will try and destroy our fruit trees every year. The first thing to do is to identify the insects that are attacking your trees. This way you will know what method you need to fight back to save your fruit trees each year. You will need to understand the insects life cycle and what habits it has in order to take the right steps of ridding yourself of them. We need to know how to control these insects so that we can fight back and save our trees. There are ways to do this with sprays, traps and lures amongst other things that you can purchase at your local home and garden center. First find out what type of insect you are dealing with. Then pick the right way to control them. Sometimes it can be a battle but you can save your trees with the right know how.There are several pretty common insects that attack fruit trees each year. They all can be harmful to our trees. Some of these are aphids, fruit flies and codling moths. Aphids seem to like all kinds of fruit trees. They infest fruit trees in the spring. In the winter they have eggs usually around the buds. Then they will hatch when the buds break. Fruit flies are another type of insect that will attack your fruit trees and cause damage to them. They can cause decay and rot on your fruit. So take steps to rid yourself of these pest before they get started. The codling moth is a very common fruit destroying insect. If you break open a piece of fruit and can see worms in the middle of it then this moth has attacked you fruit tree. For each of these insects you will find the right spray or another method in your local garden center that will help to get rid of them.
