Colorado Police Ask for Help in Solving Cold Cases

Brandon Browne, 23, was a young, vibrant, athletic, man who was gunned down on Nov. 26, 2004, outside of a the Denny's restaurant on North Academy Boulevard. According to the police that had interviewed Brandon's friends that had been with him that night, an altercation occurred with Brandon's friends outside in the parking lot. Brandon who had been standing several yards away next to his car with his girlfriend was shot in the chest. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to Memorial Hospital, however he died very soon afterwards.

The gunman fled the scene and has never been apprehended. Detective Richard Gysin of the Colorado Springs Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward immediately. Cecilia "C.C." Cipriani, 32, graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1981. By 1982, Cecelia becomes an El Paso County Sheriff's deputy, then divorces her high school sweetheart, Terry Faherty, who goes AWOL while in the United States Army. In 1984, Cecilia is promoted and in 1985 she transfers to investigations where she worked with sexual assault and child abuse cases. While working, a Colorado State Trooper, Robert Benefiel starts seeing Cecilia, by April of 1985, the two were married. Cecilia and her husband then moved to Durango, Colorado where she transferred to the La Plata County Sheriff's Office. But by November, Cecilia returned and was re-hired by El Paso County Sheriff's Department and was assigned as a homicide detective. In 1990, Cecilia became the first woman in El Paso County Sheriff's history to become a Lieutenant. Unfortunately her private life was not going as well as her work life had been.

It is just unbelievable that things like this go on everyday. I'd love to bust one of these creeps. The father and daughter case broke my heart.
