On this journey you will be visiting in sections of Virgina, Maryland and Pennsylvania but you will be visiting the past including the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the lives of Presidents and the rich history of the African American struggle for freedom. Best of all, you don't have to drive all over the country to take in this fabulous array of Americana. You will find it waiting for you all in one single swath of American soil.

The "Journey Through Hallowed Ground Foundation". The wonderful travel opportunities that you can discover in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania have been organized and networked for you through an association known as the "Journey Through Hallowed Ground Foundation". This is a non-profit group that has put its best efforts together to promote the wonderful collection of historic, cultural, scenic and natural sites that one can find in a relatively small area of land. Containing sites found along U. S. Route 15 and 20, the journey takes you over approximately 175 miles of high interest territory. You will cross several state and county lines but your total travel will be less than 200 miles. Whether you take a few days or a few weeks to travel through this area of the country you can't help but be impressed by the density of historical and cutural sites you will take in per square mile.
