Brandon Marshall

With an aging Rod Smith as the #1 receiver on the depth chart, Marshall will be given every opportunity to start at the #2 receiver position and possibly put himself into position to start going into 2008. Jay Cutler is developing as a leader in the quarterback position and can keep plays alive with his mobility for athletes like Marshall to get open down the field. In a keeper league, Marshall is an excellent choice. In 2007, he should still surpass expectations with 700+ yards and 5+ touchdowns.

Matt Jones

The converted college quarterback continues to develop as a legitimate pro receiver. He has become more consistent the past two seasons and is hardly referred to as a former quarterback anymore. With his great height and body control, he will always have the advantage in one-on-one match-ups and in the red zone. With two quality quarterback options (Leftwich and Garrard), he will see plenty of accurate throws regardless of the trigger man. He could breakout this season with 1000 yards and 10+ touchdowns.

Anthony Gonzalez

Gonzalez should be the most envied wide receiver to come out of college in a long time. Not only was he under the radar in college with Ted Ginn, Jr. garnering all the attention at Ohio State, but he goes into arguably the best offensive system of our generation with player-coach Peyton Manning. Gonzalez will take the place of departed Brandon Stokley in the slot, between Pro Bowlers Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. That's rough. He will see man coverage with linebackers and safety for most of his snaps with the running game of Joseph Addai preventing consistent Nickel-coverage packages for the defense. Gonzalez has sure hands and excellent route-running abilities. He is very intelligent and should grasp Manning's audibles and check-downs quicker than a majority of rookie receivers. In an offense where he will just be asked to make the routine plays in the passing game plan, Gonzalez should equal that expectation and more. He could get 600+ yards and 5+ touchdowns easily.

With Manning at the helm, Anthony Gonzalez's rookie season just got a little easier.
