Borden Elmer's ProBond Polyurethane Glue is multipurpose glue that binds everything possible on earth with commendable strength. This is so simple to use and does not require any complex mixing process. This is a super adhesive with thorough waterproof capability. The binding looks classic and does not leave any marks. The Elmer's ProBond Glue is a revolutionary product that has in fact wiped out the conventional white glue used for wood works. Unlike traditional glues this is not water based. Instead this uses water as a catalyst for making it water resistant. Elmer's ProBond Glue is ideal for working with wood. This works really great with oily wood. The unique gap filling abilities of this glue makes it superior to the yellow glue. There is no need for you to overcoat the glue. Apply a thin coating on the broken joints. It does not get dried up instantly after opening the cap. Even if it gets dried up it can be easily removed. But it is very expensive. So it is ideal to use this adhesive only in those areas where it is really demanding to use this glue. It is observed that this glue undergoes a chemical reaction when contacted with water. This makes the adhesive to expand and leaves a glue line. Only strong solvents can dissolve the adhesive and hence cleaning the space after gluing is a bit difficult.
It is always advisable tostore this glue upside down after opening it. The Elmer's ProBond Glue is very easy to use. On one edge of the piece to be glued put a drop of this adhesive and on the other spray water. This should be pressed with little pressure and moved back and forth to spread the adhesive evenly. It takes about two hours for the glue to set. Once it is properly done the excess glue should be carefully removed from the surface. The binding is so strong that there is no danger of the glue peeling out.
