If you're one of the many people who love the fire-hot taste of chili peppers, then you know that the freshest vegetables always taste the best. The freshest vegetables, of course, come right from your own garden. Not only that, but, by producing your own crop, you can save money as opposed to buying them at your local grocer. Read this instructive article and learn how to easily grow your own chili peppers!

Seeds or Plants?
You can grow your own chili peppers by saving the seeds from peppers you have. Or, you can buy seeds, or, you can buy established plants. Plants are a time-saving option that works the best for me.

Choose the Right Location
To easily grow your own chili peppers, you don't need to have a large plot of ground on your property. A small spot of ground or a clear place in your flower garden will provide enough room. Just keep in mind that, if you want to plant more than one, each chili pepper plant needs a foot and a half of space. The ground location you choose should be cleared of other plants, rocks and debris

You can also place a chili pepper plant in a large flower pot with dirt, and position the pot on your deck or patio. No matter where you plant this vegetable, it should receive plenty of direct sunlight so your chili pepper plants will grow healthy and strong.

Care of Your Plants
Chili Pepper plants require the same basic care as any other vegetable. Besides plenty of sunlight, they need plenty of water. If Mother Nature doesn't do her part to keep your chili pepper plants watered, you'll need to do that yourself.

You may also choose to give your chili pepper plants a boost, especially if the ground it's planted in isn't rich and full of minerals. Scotts Miracle-Grow is my product of choice. It's inexpensive, readily available to buy, and it produces good results in my entire garden, (pun not intended.)

To easily grow your own chili peppers, you'll also need to keep the weed population down by pulling them out of the soil as they appear.

Great article! I'm not a great gardener, though I like playing with the seeds of veggies to try and grow them. I know if I were to try this, I'd start with a plant or two.
