The perception among Washington media and political establishments that the inflow of cash into Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will be drying off this third quarter, may soon be a wishful and pipedream-as the diva of chat-Oprah Winfrey is about to organize one of the most high-fire breezing fundraising in presidential history for the thoughtful and well loved presidential candidate: Barack Obama in September.

In an email received yesterday from an insider who is in the know of the fever-pitch event, "New donors, a rarefied ball with the queen of celebrities and a chance to glimpse the woman everyone seems to want at least for vice president. This one's hard to top," the email continues, "the most exciting Barack Obama event of the year anywhere."

The anticipation for this event is hitting every corners of Hollywood like an Oscar night; where everyone comes to celebrate in their best glamorous attire and a long night of true Hollywood fashion party.

Ticket for the event starts at $2,300, the cap accepted under federal campaign laws. For those who may want to stick around for inner circle meet-up with the Senator, such a person is required to raise at least $25,000 from other attendees. And those who want to have an intimate dinner with the charismatic presidential candidate; they are required to raise a minimum of $50,000.

One Hollywood insider who is planning to participate in the event said "This is 2007 Oscar night. It can't get any better than this-period."

The talk-show host and an international high-profile philanthropist Oprah Winfrey is going to be opening her renowned Santa Barbara-area super estate to play host to thousands of fans, supporters and who-is-who in the entertainment industry to fundraise for a candidate she called " my guy."

Earlier this year, she was interviewed by Larry King of CNN on why she is openly supporting a presidential candidate for the first time. Her response was borne out of personal knowledge of Obama-a man that has good judgment and sound moral integrity that seems to be a farfetched expectation among political elites of today.

If Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney are the new king makers for the Democratic party, Republicans should sleep easy at night.

It would be nice if more influencial "black" entertainers would come out in support of Senator Obama. Like the self-made billionaire owner of BET or Bette Midler. It is sad that the candidates have to have large sums of money to "advertise" or campaign. Obama is different in having a large number of individual supporters; many first time donations to a political campaign, and poor people's hard-to-part with $10.00!

I grew up watching Ms. Winfrey in Baltimore, and she made an impact and she made women proud, especially African American women. I remember when she did a TV show called people are talking with Richard Shier, and it was an okay show, hey I was 9 or 10 at the time...I saw her once I was with my mother and she was doing an interview. For her to do a fundraiser for the next President of United States..it's just awsome...Hillary must be livid, I mean peeed off, she now knows she's in a race, and she's staring to hear foot steps..and she doesn't like it, people say if we get Hillary we get Bill, some of us don't want Bill....ever think of that. Obama wins, Bill Clinton will be the U.S. Special envoy....that I would love to see....Obama is Smart, and Bill Clinton knows his place in History...I love Ophra even more for doing this..thank you Ms. Winfrey.

This is just fabulous! I'm so thrilled that Oprah is hosting a fundraiser for Senator Obama. The timing couldn't be better. HRC has twisted arms, threatened donors (through her handlers of course) and used the power of a former president to get everyone she could to endorse her and raise money for her. Well, she couldn't buy, threaten, or intimidate Oprah. God is good. Everyone please donate to Senator Obama's campaign. He needs all the financial support he can get to run TV and online ads, open more offices in key states, hire the best staff, etc. Please, he needs all our help. I'm doing a monthly donation of $50. If you can't afford $50 per month, do whatever you can: $15, $20, $30, whatever. Just please get on a monthly donation and help make Senator Obama our next president. Let's show our support for Senator Obama in numbers and donations. I am confident that with all of us donating whatever we can afford and volunteering our time to spread the word about S

Oprah is the most powerful woman alive. For her to not just endorse Obama but, throw a fundraiser as a public announcement of support will cause not just her followers but, Hollywood to notice. And because so many women listen to Oprah they will stop their idea of supporting the wrong woman for president ( I am a democratic female) and see who is the only person who can lead this country at this critical time. I feel that unless Barack Obama is elected president we will face a further edging to the abyss.
