Hello Everyone, I'm a very small bussiness owner and I'm looking for some ideas on how to get funding for a grant. I have a 16 acre property with lease/options on 22 more. I have always dreamed of having an organic farm. I currently have 2 calves and 1 horse. I just sold my goats. My summer garden dived bombed, except the Okra and I could really use funding, to purchase more animals and seed. My assistant reacently had to leave for a family emergency. The funging would help to hire someone. P.S. It took me a long time to even have this oppurtunity and I would really like to give a hand up to several women that are struggling in San Antonio. Someone helped me once. I could use some advice so maybe I could help a sister with a hand up, not a hand out. Thanks YA'll God Bless.

I am a 34 year old woman looking to start her own small business. I have wanted to open my own day care center for as long as I can remember. I married at the young age of 19 and had my daughter when I was 20. I eventually ended up a single mom that was not receiving child support from her ex husband to support their child. I have worked at the same office for 11 years. I started out as a secretary and am currently the office manager at that same office. I am thankful for my job, but now that I have been married to a wonderful and supporting husband for the past 4 years, I now feel comfortable enough to take the step and "risk" of leaving a steady job and following my dream and passion of owning my very own day care. I dont have any regrets I feel my past experiences have made me the strong woman I am today. The struggles that came from being a single mom with no financial child support helped me realize that I am a budget professional! Please contact me if you can help me. Thank you.
