The first time I saw the Tom Ford Whitney SunglassesAngelina Jolie was wearing them in a picture a few months ago. I thought they were gorgeous and looked amazing on her. The frames of the glasses are over-sized and oval shaped. Even though they are somewhat large they aren't bulky and they have clean lines.

I immediately wanted a pair but when I found out they were by Tom Ford my heart sank because I knew they'd cost an arm and a leg. After looking them up on-line my suspicions were correct since the designer sunglasses cost a whopping $320.

After losing my favorite pair of glamorous designer sunglasses I went on a mission to find a new pair that made me feel just as fabulous. Little did I know that it was going to prove mission impossible.

I tried on several different pairs at several different stores and none of the sunglasses made me feel as good as my old pair. The over-sized glasses made me look like a bug, the aviators made me look like a man, and the square sunglasses that are now in style just looked ridiculous.

After my long search I kept seeing new pictures of Angelina Jolie as well as Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities wearing the fantastic Tom Ford Whitney sunglasses, and they all looked so chic so I decided to take the plunge and shell out the money for them.

I don't regret the purchase at all. The cool thing about the design of the Whitney sunglasses are that both of the lenses don't take up the entire space of the frames, they stop before they reach the inner and outer corners, which gives them a retro feel.

Another element of the design that I like is part of the bridge of the glasses isn't plain like most glasses, and instead the lines of the frame of the glasses meet up there and form an intersection with each other. It looks like they criss-cross each other which makes them more interesting.

Other features include metal accents on the arms. There's also a small engraving of the Tom Ford logo on the upper corner of the left lens, and two tiny metal logos on the tips of both arms.
