2.) Business Socials: You might believe that socials are for business only. They are actually great places to meet people. There are lots of young ladies trying to move up the corporate ladder and wouldn't mind dating a successful person like you. Ask them if you can get together sometime and talk about careers, business ideas or whatever else you want to.

3.) Weddings: The neat thing about weddings is that even though you are there to celebrate the bride and groom you also have the opportunity to meet other people. Weddings draw lots of family members and friends of the couple. It is the perfect social place to have a conversation with someone you don't know. If nothing else they will think that you are a friendly person.

4.) Recreational Activities: Going to the gym, learning ball room dancing or taking a painting class is not about enjoying the activity alone. Many people who are feeling lonely join such classes so that they can have something to do and fill up their lives. That makes them ripe for the asking.
