Neurological Safety Group Blasts Bush on Vaccine Bill

Safeminds, a neurological safety group, on Friday condemned the Bush Administration for refusing to ban a controversial drug component in flu vaccines called thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative. The component is said to be the cause of autism in

some youngsters thus the anger of American citizens was sparked when Bush categorically stated that he will ban these substances and then after his 2004 campaign suddenly pretended not to remember his promise.

Even if he is hiding behind the reasoning that states that there are no definitive causes for autism directly, it is still a less than forthcoming idea to think that this drug component is still manufactured and recommended for all pregnant women, infants and children. Despite the dire warnings of the Institute of Medicine of the dangers of injecting these mercury laden drugs into the developing bodies of children and even unborn fetuses, the manufacture of the said vaccine is still in progress. An even more alarming note is the fact that some pregnant women already have high levels of mercury enough to damage their unborn child, how much more damage will be done if the vaccine is injected to the bodies of these mothers is simply appalling, according to Safeminds .

As for studies on the toxicity of thiomersal or otherwise known as thimerosal, we can hardly find anything conclusive. Reports indicate that children can receive ethylmercury at levels higher than the US government guidelines for methylmercury (MeHg) exposure. A study in 2005 made by Burbacher to compare blood and brain mercury levels in monkeys exposed to Methylmercury or vaccines containing Thimerosal has found considerable differences.

Excellent reporting! The risks definitely outweigh any reason for its continued use in any vaccine or biological product. Thanks for reporting this.

This is interesting. The potential risks associated with this vaccine is definitely a reason to stop manufacuring this product for distribution among any citizen, infants and children included. Good article. very informative.
