Volcano eruptions, deaths by heat waves, cold waves, earthquakes, and land slides are all considered apart of the natural disaster world which can have deadly consequences for human individuals who are in their path. The 1931 Yellow River flood which took place in the China's summer took the lives of 1-4,000,000 people. It is considered the worst natural disasters ever to have been recorded of any time.

The 1887 Yellow River flood was caused by long periods of rain which accumulated along the Yellow River bed which caused the river water to rise above man made dikes. When that happened, the worst flood ever recorded prior to the 1931 flood. It was between 900,000-2,000,000 people who had lost their lives in the horrible disaster.
