The penis has many veins and arteries and when it is cut off there is going to be a lot of blood. If the penis was erect when lopped of then the issue is even more serious, and the spurting isn't going to look good in Cameron Diaz's hair. If you find you penis has been detached the first order of business is to call 911. Then you will want to remain still and calm, and stop the bleeding. If possible hold some towels to the wound and religious or not praying might kill the time. As for the severed member, if you can see the penis then make note of that for the paramedics to collect, but do not try preserving it yourself. Ones first thought might be to stick the penis on ice, however, penile tissue has a habit of cooling too quickly, freezing, and dying. There are methods to storing the penis in the ice involving wrapping it in a towel and quite frankly with blood spurting from your crotch you better leave the thinking up to the professionals. Just stay alive.
