FADE IN: SFX: KNOCKS AT THE DOOR.
(a beat)
ANOTHER KNOCK PUNCTUATED BY SILENCE. A
LOUDER SERIES OF KNOCKS FOLLOWED BY THE
CLEARING OF THROAT.
KING JAGERS: (IN HIS BARRITONE VOICE) Bawa, see who is at the door.
BAWA: Yes, your highness.
SFX: SOUND MADE BY SOMEONE ENTERING A ROOM: FEET DRAGGING; A DOOR SCREECHING.
KING MOSI: Good morning, big brother.
KING JAGERS: Hello my younger one. How are you?
KING MOSI: I'm fine.
KING JAGERS: How are you finding life in my Island?
KING MOSI: Splendid, I must confess.
KING JAGERS: Now that's what I call good compliment. Do sit down, please.
What'd you like to take for breakfast? Tea or otherwise?
KING MOSI: None.
KING JAGERS: Nonsense. Nobody rejects an offer from king Jagers, not even his blood brother.

KING MOSI: I just received a message that my people want to see me right away.
As a king I owe them a lot.
KING JAGERS: You are still the good Mosi I know. Anyway, since your intention of
leaving is good, you can have it your way.
KING MOSI: Before then, big brother, we need to talk.
KING JAGERS: About what?
KING MOSI: About the present state of things in your island. I think it is high time we address the shortcomings of your kingdom.
FX: SILENCE.
KING JAGERS: I don't know what you are talking about.
KING MOSI: Only recently I noticed that your island is in a serious predicament.
KING JAGERS: (SUDDENLY FURIOUS) Nonsense. What absurd insult! How dare
you say that my island is in a serious predicament. I hope you have
not come all the way from ZANZAM to touch my temper, young one.
If that's what you have come to do, then you have made a mistake.
This island lacks nothing. Starting from offshore to onshore you will
