Work from Home Scam: Data Entry Job Falls Flat

My Work from Home Job Search Experience

Hi, my name is Kim. Until the birth of our son in 2003 I worked for a medical management company for 4 years. After our son was born in 2003 my husband and I decided that I stay home and raise him. The company I worked for allowed me to continue working for them from home. It was a
wonderful easy job that took 1-4 hours daily. I was able to take care of my sons needs and then return to finish my work. Recently this past February 2006, they decided due to financial reasons they were bringing the work in-house. Hence my story begins.

Since February I have been on the hunt for another work from home position that is legitimate and works with our schedule. I started posting my resume on every big name job site: Monster, Hotjobs, CareerBuilder.com, Beyond.com and many more. I search on a daily basis at the various job sites. The best one I use to search is www.indeed.com. They have the ability to pull jobs from most of the job listing sites and put them all in one place. I like this because I can browse at one location rather than going to each individual website. I also search www.craigslist.com in my area on a daily basis. I was able to get a temporary job for 1 week listening to the radio for a company from Craig’s list.

The biggest thing I have noticed during all of this searching is all of the “Get Rich” promises. The majority of the work from home jobs listed on these sites are telling you to sign up and you will make money. First of all you should not have to pay someone for a job. Those companies are not really giving you a job, but trying to get you to join and promote their wares if they really have a product. Sometimes there is no real product.

whatever you do don't fall for the scam with VODACOM. I was out of work, my previous company just closed down. I was desperate to find a job. I went on craigslist looking for a job. I replyed to a receptionist postion, they contacted me by email to say: Thanks for applying your resume has been submitted for processing someone will contact you soon to schedule an interview. A few days later I received an email welcoming me with interview questions. I sent back the answers, days later they said I was hired, come to find out it turned out to be a work from home position as an online assistant. I was thrilled. They contacted me and said in order to do the job they had to sent me equipment to work with. (laptops, printers, fax etc) I thought ok that wouldn't be a problem. Then I thought about all the work from home scams I heard about. But i didn't have to send any money so I thought it was ok. They sent me another email letting me know what I was going to be doing and how much money I

ANd even their live help DOESN'T help at all it says "they will reply back after 24 hours" but they are just useless. This all happened last 26/11/2008. Re: leaveithere16@yahoo.com

Whatever you do, dont fall for the scam of www.365jobs4u.com. This company is an absolute rip off. I paid them $55.00 and worked for them for 2 months typing assignments. They now owe me $3,600 for my work. I have collected all their bank info and contacted their bank supplying them with this info. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in London. If you were riped off by these scammers i would suggest you contact anyone you can. Contact their bank as well I am sure they would love to here from you If you need their email address i will happily give it to you just email me at dselements@gmail.com

Folks, please read this from Kimberly Campbell's article and keep it in your brain: "First of all __you should not have to pay someone for a job.__ Those companies are not really giving you a job, but trying to get you to join and promote their wares if they really have a product. Sometimes there is no real product." I almost fell for Global Info Service until I found out that they had used the same name under 2 different URLs. I did a search with the words "Global info service scam" in google and guess what I found. It's a scam. Even those of you who "found success" with that site there are multitudes more of folk who have lost $50+ by joining. Again: YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY MONEY TO AN EMPLOYER TO LAND A JOB!

Hello all. Update. 2 months after writing this article I found another job where I was able to both work from home part-time and bring my son with me to the office. I have been there 2 years now. I have a new son who is now 10 months old that also goes with me to the office. I don't know that there is a true work from home position. I do know that Medical Transciptionist is a true job but you have to invest in equipment. There is also job that you can do Medical Billing from home if you have the schooling. I hope someday everyone will be able to find a legitimate work from job. Take care and good luck to all of you! Kim

Freedom of speech is right-and if the company was that pissed they wouldn't be googling to see who has learned they are a scam-they'd contact the person personally. even more proof this data entry site along with others is a scam, fake, and annoying.

Posted on 08/23/2008 at 9:08:51 PM

You say they are not happy about the other person's comments b/c you either A) work for them or B) are them. pathetic to think how m any people try to give real folks a run for their money like this-folks with dreams. stop posting false ads on craigslist.com too-it's pissing me off and it's annoying. if I have to pay squat it aint worth it and your full of shit. Any normal job ont he street don't require much but a resume and sometimes not even that. get a life loser.
