At Fort Robinson you can see how life was at a fort back in the l800's. The fort has over 22,000 acres of natural land for the visitor to enjoy. A heard of genuine Texas Longhorn roam the park like they did when the fort was an actual fort. Fort Robinson State Park has many buildings for the visitor to look at and feel history.
Fort Robinson State Park offers trail rides and stagecoach rides for the visitor to take and see what travel was like at the fort in it's heyday. Summer activities are plentiful and fun for the whole family. In the evening a campfire burns for the enjoyment of the guests who stay overnight at the fort. Sit around the campfire and talk to other folks at the fort.
Tourist are able to stay at the fort since Fort Robinson State Park has lodging right there. You can stay at the Fort Robinson lodge or you can stay at one of there cabins. You can also camp at the campground. The campground facilities include a shower house, electricity, picnic tables, and water. There is an area just for tent camping.
Food is available at Fort Robinson during the summer season. If you have a group function you can get catering for it. And if you just want a snack you can get a snack at the Sulter's Store.
Fort Robinson State Park has a swimming pool for the guests to swim in. A museum tells the story of what the west was like at Fort Robinson State Park. The Play House has different theater productions that perform on a rotating basis all summer long. The fort also has tennis courts and a golf course.
