As an expecting mother approaches her due date, her mind will be in turmoil over many things. She will start to have a constant battle with herself over the situation of should I or should I not breast feed. At the end of the day it is a mothers personal choice, and know one should influence her decision. If she chooses not to breast feed, she should know that, that is just fine and it does NOT make her a bad mother. However it is a proven fact that breast feeding is the best way to feed your newborn the first few months of their life.

Benefits of breast feeding:

1. A breastfed baby does not normally need water, unless it is a really hot day and your house is not air-conditioned.

2. Breast milk is natural, and is great for your baby's health. It is a great way to build up their immune system. Studies show that breastfed babies do not get sick as often as a baby fed with formula. Studies also show that they usually have less allergies.
Bonus! Breastfeeding is also good for mothers too, it can help them lose that unwanted weight gained during pregnancy, and also help protect them from certain health problems, for example certain types of cancers may be prevented.

3. Breastfeeding is cheap! There is no cost involved when you breastfeed.

4. Breastfeeding also saves you time. There is no need to wash and sterilize bottle, and nipples. Also, there is no need to mix up formula.
Bonus! By breastfeeding you save time, to do other things, maybe even get an extra 5-10 minutes relaxation.

5. Some mothers have reported that it is a pleasurable experience for both her and her newborn. The newborn get the benefits of the good-ness in the breast milk and some mothers have said that they have orgasm's whilst breastfeeding.

6. Breast milk can be frozen for up-to 6 months. This is great because you can express the breast milk freeze it, and take it with you where ever you go.
