Inflatable Beds - A Cheap and Easy Alternative Way to Sleep

An Elevated Air Bed is Perfect for Kids, Adults, Etc...

When I found myself leaving a long marriage and moving myself and 2 teens into a rental, I knew at once that the elevated air bed was what we would buy. Not wanting to go out and buy regular box springs and mattresses due to the costs and hassle of moving them,
we certainly made the right choice. We decided on the elevated beds sold by Walmart. These were easily obtainable, and the price was right, no matter if we needed a twin, full, or queen size. These are packaged in an easy-to-carry box. The price depends on the bed size chosen. This ranges from approximately $35.00 for a twin size and approximately $75.00 for queen size.

Having made the choice to use the elevated beds, we knew that using the regular sheet sets would most likely not be compatible. We handled that by using a flat sheet instead of the fitted sheet on the bottom. The nice thing about this is the Walmart beds have a suede-like covering on the top and the sheet will not slide off like some of the regular single height air beds.

Another thing to consider is whether or not you have indoor animals. We have 2 cats that sleep anywhere they darn well choose, including on the inflatable beds. Right from the start, we were careful to always use several billowy quilts and when we get up in the morning, we make sure to pull those quilts up. We don't have our kitties declawed, so of course it is always a concern.

Some air inflated beds use a separate type of pump. Sometimes these are not connected and must be used manually. The beds sold by Walmart have the built in pump system. As long as you have the vented screen system clear of being covered, the pump does it's work in literally minutes. You can choose the firmness you want and the bed will not over inflate.

Why we recommend the elevated beds is simple........they are a little easier to get out of. You must remember that these beds will have a little more movement than the regular mattress and box spring. So if your knees are bad, you may want to try getting in and out of an elevated bed if you know someone who has one.

I used to sleep on an air mattress and it was quite comfortable. I often can not sleep and take to the floor, and the air mattress was a bit more comfortable. It is good that your kitties are co-operating and keeping their little claws inside the paws. Oh, I was assuming they are like my daughter's who sleep on the beds with them at night.
