This is a list of the longest running fictional television shows that are currently still airing new episodes. Current television rank is where the show stands on the all-time list for episodes aired.

WWE Raw

Overall televsion rank for episodes: 3

WWE Raw has been on the air since 1997 and is the third longest running television program of all-time with 537 episodes aired. Raw is shown new most weeks, which has helped the show skyrocket up the all-time list.

WWE Smackdown!

Overall television rank for epsiodes: 7

WWE Smackdown! Is the seventh longest running television program and has aired 409 episodes since it debuted in 1999. Like Raw, Smackdown! is seen new most weeks.

The Simpsons

Overall television rank for episodes: 8

The Simpsons is the longest running prime-time cartoon of all-time and the longest running program on the FOX network. The Simpsons comes in eighth all-time with over 400 episodes since it debuted in 1989.

Law and Order

Overall television rank for episodes: 9

Dick Wolf's Law and Order is one of the longest running series of all-time. It comes in ninth on the list with 393 episodes. The show will be entering its 18th season this fall.

ER

Overall television rank for episodes: 17

Michael Crichton's ER drama about an Emergency Room has been on the air since 1994 and the series has aired 290 episodes, making it 17th on the all-time list.

King of the Hill

Overall television rank for episodes: 56

Mike Judge's King of the Hill, based on a character from Beavis and Butthead, Hank Hill, has been on the air since 1997. The show has aired 213 episodes and is 56th on the all-time list.

Law and Order: SVU

Overall television rank for episodes: 85

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit is the longest running of all of the Law and Order spinoffs. The show, which went out on its own in 1999, has had 183 episodes, making it 85th all-time.

CSI

Overall television rank for episodes: 116

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is the most recently debuted of all of the shows. It debuted on CBS in 2000 and has since rolled out an impressive 165 episodes, making it the 116th longest running show of all-time.

South Park

Surprisingly Law and Order does not have the most episodes of all currently airing shows.
