When I entered, I was greeted immediately as soon as I walked in by a friendly staff member, and was told I could sit anywhere. I was brought a menu and made my selection along with my drink order of sweet tea.
I was brought some reddish looking tea that ended up being and herbal tea, and it was sweetened. I'm always up for trying something new, but I like something new if I'm expecting it. It was quite tasty, so I kept it, but I found that the strength of it slightly irritated my stomach. In this case, I wish that standard sweet tea would have been served, with the herbal tea mentioned as an option.
The waitress was wonderful. She was so pleasant and cheery, and made everything so nice. She was very attentive throughout the meal. The appetizer was a nice sized portion, and was absolutely delicious.
The main meal itself was good. The presentation on the plate was really visually stunning, but I felt that the portion sizes were a bit on the small side. I had finished in no time, and felt that I still wanted a bit more. When I received the bill, I found it to be a bit high for what I had been served, in regards to portion size. As far as the meal itself, it was very tasty, visually appealing, and served with a smile. I also noticed that it took a little long to receive the meal, though no fault of the waitress. It was probably just a busy time.
All in all, my experience was good, but I was a little let down. The cons of my experience were that the wait time was long, the portions were small, and the prices were high, and I would have preferred regular sweet tea. The pros were that the staff were wonderful, smiling, and very friendly. The menu was extensive, the meals were tasty, and the fact that it is a vegetarian restaurant is the biggest pro of all.
