In order to write an article on mental health a few ingredients are needed to make it appealing. We can be doctors who work with the troubled, or therapists doing the same, and most of all we can be troubled ourselves-with years of experience in depression or schizophrenia. The doctor may be at pains to classify the keys to happiness; a depressed person will often be experiencing pain or pleasure writing about what ales them.
Even the doctor or therapist could have had a bout with depression or mental illness. Most of us encounter it at some point in our lives.
I am on the receiving end of mental health; I practice the things I write about the best way I can. My experiences will come into play here.
First off we write about the simplest experiences, or battles, with depression. Most problems with mental health begin as a mere depression; and most of us can relate to the writing or at the very least find it very entertaining.
In writing on depression we lead clues as to the cures we found, but we do not reveal too much. We have other original articles to write, to be read, and to be paid for.
Once we have written about the battle with depression in comes the more specific articles-the ones that can really help people. Depression is good, but written about to no end. Schizophrenia and other mental disorders are discussed less because, though major, they are not as common as the basic form of depression. These articles will be slanted towards those with the illness, but allow for those unfamiliar with the disease to be entertained. If we had no personal experiences with the disorder we work on studying it.
