There's no shortage of anti-Bush bumper stickers and t-shirts with witty slogans, but where's the one that say "If only Bush could run again in 08." Surely these 25% are proud of their man. Aren't they?
When among friends and the conversation turns political, it usually starts and ends in disgust. Casual in our knowledge of politics, as are most Americans I'd assume, we've said our peace and hope with great doubt that tomorrow will be the day for change.
I make it no great secret that I think Bush is an idiot, but at the same time, I'm always willing to listen to what he has to say with an open mind. Most time, however, I'm left drop-jawed at his reasoning but will not demand an impeachment. That would be a complete waste of time and money. His administration already conceals and lies about enough information, I couldn't fathom the circus an impeachment proceeding would create.
If anything positive can be said about Bush and his time as the most powerful man in the world, it's that he opened the eyes of many Americans into taking a much closer look at government policies and who we've got making the decisions. Corruption abound with fingers pointing towards elsewhere, this administration has shown the world that "for the good of the people" means only "for the good of the people with whom I'm personally invested in."
The Democratic debate on CNN, sponsored by YouTube, was the glimmer of hope we need on the long road back to being the greatest country in the world.
