Topping the Huffington Post yesterday was the headline "New Lows For Bush: Approval Rating Tumbles To 25 Percent". Who are these 25% of Americans? I've never met anyone who will emphatically defend the President. Sure the world wide web and various cable news shows will defend him for whatever reason, but I've never met another average American who will say, "Yes, I think George W. Bush is doing a fine job."

There's no shortage of anti-Bush bumper stickers and t-shirts with witty slogans, but where's the one that say "If only Bush could run again in 08." Surely these 25% are proud of their man. Aren't they?

When among friends and the conversation turns political, it usually starts and ends in disgust. Casual in our knowledge of politics, as are most Americans I'd assume, we've said our peace and hope with great doubt that tomorrow will be the day for change.

I make it no great secret that I think Bush is an idiot, but at the same time, I'm always willing to listen to what he has to say with an open mind. Most time, however, I'm left drop-jawed at his reasoning but will not demand an impeachment. That would be a complete waste of time and money. His administration already conceals and lies about enough information, I couldn't fathom the circus an impeachment proceeding would create.

If anything positive can be said about Bush and his time as the most powerful man in the world, it's that he opened the eyes of many Americans into taking a much closer look at government policies and who we've got making the decisions. Corruption abound with fingers pointing towards elsewhere, this administration has shown the world that "for the good of the people" means only "for the good of the people with whom I'm personally invested in."

The Democratic debate on CNN, sponsored by YouTube, was the glimmer of hope we need on the long road back to being the greatest country in the world.

I left the US when Bush got his claws into it and won't come back until he's out of office. Actually I probably won't come back permanently even then, I like Thailand too much now :-)

Bush will go down in history as the president that slept at the wheel while the whole damn country crashed...

Well, I actually like Bush. And they never even called me for the poll, so maybe I could have raised it a little? LOL

When a horrendous crime happens to a person or family, we want justice, but when a president uses his power to lie cheat and steal from America and use the military for illiegitmate purposes - just a bummer, huh?. Thousands of soldiers have perished in the war. 10's of thousand of civilians, including children, have perished for no reason. The respect of America in the world has diminished - most European countries think we are idiots for voting for him twice, all the while we ignore (don't act seriously to) serious genocide and rape in Darfur. Why again is impeachment off the table? Maybe you like to be screwed without any justice, but this man has put America in a tailspin an you shrug? Waste of time? If we can put Paris Hilton in jail, I see no reason why this treasonous man shouldn't be there as well.

It is inevitable. Prophecy must unfold. He must do these awful things to the whole world. The elite Men of Judea and the chief Inhabitants of Jerusalem laid in wait for the wrong man at the wrong time to rise. What is the popularity rating for Bush across the Umma or, in the Americas? What about his ratings in Britain? And how do the Christians feel about "their" man today? The King of the North (hemisphere) has bloody sheepskins to account for and the owner is calling the oval office for answers.

Over here too. Do not agree on everything W does either but I have NEVER agreed with "everything" a president does. W has had a lot on his plate during this presidency. Thank goodness he was in office Sept 11. We quite possibly could have had more attacks on our own soil if there had not been a "W" to stand up and take action.

The Iraqi Communist Paety supports the invasion and occupation

If you look at Harry Truman's approval ratings in "51", they almost mirror the numbers of this administration. The Korean war became very unpopular when Truman "lied" about there being no communist Chinese troops fighting against Americans. Almost 40,000 Americans died because Truman decided to run from the communists rather than fight them. I guess most Ivy-league historians today count themselves among Truman's 25%

Here I am! Over here! I am one of the 25% and proud of it. And no, I do not agree with W. on all things, in fact I DISAGREE with him about MANY issues, but the economy is hot, and when the Socialist world is pissed at the US, we are doing something Right, as well as correct.LOL! I wonder what the American Left would be saying if this Iraq war were sanctioned by the UN and the Socialist world? Jus' askin'. Now, I assume someone will chime in to disparage my intelligence, judgment, honesty, humanity, sincerity, education . . . ,
