Pursuing a Career in Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal has sparked the interest of many people in recent times. It is believed that the main reason is because it is becoming such a "hot" career right now. Chances are that you may personally be interested in learning about what type of qualifications you
will need to meet in order to pursue a career in tattoo removal. Here, we will take a much closer look at this interesting career choice.

How Do I Pursue a Career in Tattoo Removal?

You may have wondered if it was possible for you to become a "tattoo remover." In order to remove tattoos, you will need to become a dermatologist. Many who are interested in tattoo removal often pursue a career as a dermatologist with a concentration in tattoo removal, though many find it beneficial financially to offer the services that any dermatologists would. What this also means is that you will need to attend college for many years - or at least twelve, to be exact. Since pursuing a career in tattoo removal is very competitive, it is important to consider earning as many college degrees as you possibly can. The more degrees that you have under your belt, the better off you will be in the future.

What Other Qualifications Will I Need to Meet?

If you are interested in pursuing a career in tattoo removal, you are probably interested in learning about the other types of qualifications that you will need to meet aside from earning an education. Well, most states will also require you to complete both an oral and written examination. These are required in order to become a certified dermatologist. Without this certification, you will not only be unable to pursue a career in dermatology, but you will also not be able to remove tattoos. You will not be able to do one without the other.

Does anyone know about what is required in Australia to become a tattoo removalist? No doubt it will be the same as you have described. I agree with the above comments. Typical of the medical fraternity ensuring you need unrealistic qualifications to perform a simple procedure. For god sake you can purchase these hair and tattoo removal lazers for use on yourself. I wonder why you don't need to have a medical qualification to give a tattoo in the first place. Is it because the majority of the industry is controlled by organised crime. The medical fraternity is just a legal version of the same. Licence to print money!

I am an expert in the field of lasers (industrial) and I recently decided to get an unwanted tattoo removed and was shocked at what I found. The prices are absurd, after questioning the "doctor" I was told a bunch of BS about the cost of operation of the laser equipment. I know exactly how their machines work and associated costs - which are quite low. This immediately led me to look into purchasing some equipment and opening a practice of my own so I could become a quick millionaire - but unfortunately you have to be a doctor (you don't have to know the slightest thing about lasers though). Of course doctors are not required to give the tattoo in the first place, which is a far more invasive procedure. What's next a doctor required to cut your hair or give you a manicure.

this is a joke. people can tatoo with no qualifications, this you have to be a dermatologist. Another way to keep ordinary people from doing something worthwhile. Any wonder? The people who give tatoos are probaly far more ualified than the idiots who have twelve years of school. there should be a law against this type of hypocricy. Let the people have choice to go to removal people just like they choose tatoo artist. Oh butt thats too simple.

I had not really thought about tattoo removal as a career. But it might appeal to some. Sophie
