Astral Travel - Could This Be Possible?

Have you ever had a dream that seemed very real, or have you ever had a dream where you felt as if you were actually flying? I'm sure at one time or another we've all had dreams similar to this, and some would say it was just a dream, while others would attribute it to astral travel, or leaving the body during periods of sleep. I'm not sure if astral travel is in fact real, but some say it is. The following are experiences I've had while dreaming and I'd like to find out what others think about the possibility of astral travel.

Flying Dreams

Dreams of flying are some of my favorite dreams, and they do seem very real. I had one dream in particular that involved flying over a familiar road near my home, and it was nighttime during this experience. The street lights dimly lit up the country road just beyond my home, and it felt as if I were actually flying many feet above the ground. I must admit this was one of the best dreams I've ever had.

Could this experience have been astral travel, or was it just a figment of my imagination during a phase of sleep? I'd like to think this experience was astral travel, but who am I to say if it was or if it wasn't? Many unexplained occurrences exist, and astral travel could be a real phenomenon that happens during sleep.

An Apparition or an Astral Traveler?

Those who regularly read my articles are aware of some of the paranormal experiences I've chosen to share, but one experience in particular may not have been paranormal in nature. I saw an apparition in front of my bedroom blinds, and this apparition wasn't a stranger. This ghostly apparition appeared to be someone very close to me, but as far as I knew he was very much alive.
