Upcoming Horror Movies of 2007

If you and your friends regularly have movie night, or you just want to get out of the house to watch a wonderfully creepy horror movie, I have what you are looking for. Beginning in August, there are some awesome looking films to scare you out of your wits.

Skinwalkers, which is directed by Jim Isaac hits the big screen, August tenth by Lionsgate-After Dark Films. This one will take you to flashbacks of the 80's werewolf movies. Skinwalkers is the story of a twelve year old boy in the midst of a werewolf war. One group of them is committed to saving his life, and the other desperately battling to slaughter him. His mother needs to find out why they are fighting over him, and quickly before it's too late. The consequences could be dire.

If you are looking for crime horror, then An American Crime which is said to be based on a true story will be the one for you and hits theaters August 17th. A pair of carnival workers leave their daughters with single mother Gertrude Baniszewski who lives in Indiana with her seven children. She tries to make the best of things, but the burden becomes to great. One child dies, and the rest will be forever effected by the horrors that face them.

If you are looking for something a little more dramatic, you might want to check out The Invasion, also out August seventeenth. In this horrific film you find the world quickly taking a turn for the worse. An epidemic is infesting the world. A Washington D.C. psychiatrist and her colleague work even faster once her son is infected with this mysterious disease. It is just a matter of time before everyone is infected. Will they be able to find a cure in time?

August twenty fifth brings us a new thriller, Bad Blood which is directed by Tiago Guedes and Frederico Serra. A wealthy and highly respected family has inherited a beautiful little country home. Although his family has their reservations, their patriarch decides to take the move. He uproots his family and moves them to this little country home. Strange things start to happen, and so do rumors of a nasty little curse that plagues the house and it's inhabitants.
