Picking the Right 7th Generation Console

As of right now, only three main competitors exist and that being Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. Each have there own systems but with different items to separate themselves and make them stand out. For Nintendo, they have the Wii Remote or sometimes nicknamed the Wiimote, which challengers to play in a new light with some gameplay requiring motion with a motion sensor. With the Playstation 3, it uses a new technology and is higher than a normal CD in a Blu Ray Disc. With the X-Box 360, it has an X-Box Live Arcade, which actually has been used to distribute arcade video games to the X-Box and the 360. Also, each of the three consoles respectively has a different mind set on what they are looking to accomplish. Nintendo is on redemption and wants to change the way that we as gamers play games. Microsoft to me is actually trying to bridge the gap between regular computers and gaming consoles. Sony I believe is trying to market to those that want to have a system that can be more than a console but also a DVD player mainly. The question remains is which one of these three would be the absolute best system to buy. While I can't give you a direct answer, I can however give you ideas on what you should look for when deciding on the system you want.

Price

When it comes to pricing out the systems, that always plays a factor when it comes to buying the next console. As of this very moment, the Nintendo Wii is out for $250, The X-Box 360 is out for $400 for the Premium Edition, $300 for the Core Edition, and $480 for the Elite Edition, and the Playstation 3 is out for $500 with the 60 GB Version and for the 80 GB one, it is going to be $600. For those who probably would be interested in the PS3 could possibly be a bit leery as far as buying it due to the expensive price tag put on it. If price is to be a major consideration, then in this case, sometimes the cheapest system might be the best choice but there are exceptions and that will be covered as well. As far as price being a main factor in picking the next generation console, the winner for that would go to the Wii.
