Maybe you are an incoming freshman at Trinity Western University, a top-notch private university in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Or maybe you are a current student who is looking for a new residence on campus. Recently rated as one of the best universities in Canada, Trinity Western University has a lot to offer in terms of social functions, great classes and professors, and an awesome student community. Unfortunately, not all of its dorms are up to date, and some of them are downright cruddy.

Here are the best places to live on campus while studying at Trinity Western University, separated by year of study (since different years have access to different resident halls).

FRESHMAN at Trinity Western University

If you are a male freshman, choose halls 6 or 7 in Douglas Hall. This side of Douglas is called "The Hilton," and the opposite side is called "The Ghetto." Unless you grew up in the inner city, you don't want to live in any sort of ghetto, even if its just a name. Douglas 6 and Douglas 7 are called "the Hilton" because the rooms are double the size of the ghetto's rooms, and every two rooms share their own bathroom. In contract, entire floors in the ghetto share a single locker room.

Lounges and social areas in Douglas 6 or 7 are also larger than their similar counterparts in the ghetto.

Men are now allowed to live in Fraser, which used to be a strictly girls-only dorm. Something about living in a girlie dorm just doesn't seem right. Plus, Douglas has the male camaraderie and testosterone-filled history that a former girls' dorm just doesn't have.

For female freshman, choose anywhere in the Fraser building. If you want scenery, choose the side next to the gym or facing the Northwest Building. The opposite side looks into the center of Trinity Western University's campus. Girls can also request to live in Northwest Building, although this isn't ideal because your rooms are very, very small and you are rather removed from the activity of the university campus (Northwest is located at the edge of the developed campus).
