Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) is a simple and effective way to clear the energetic causes of disease. It enables anyone to solve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual problems at their root cause, making it less likely they will return. Anyone can learn Tat, even children! Below you will learn the first important step in Tapas Acupressure Technique.

TAT never requires you to relive traumatic events, unlike other healing techniques. Instead, you simply focus on certain statements and pull your focus back to them if your feelings turn to the event itself. There are nine basic steps in TAT. But before you do them, you need to learn the TAT pose.

TAT for Beginners: The TAT Pose

Although it isn't necessary, you may want to use your dominant hand for the first three points of the pose, and your non-dominant hand for the fourth point.

1. Place the tip of your thumb 1/8 inch (0.5 cm) above the inner corner of your eye and hold it there.

2. Place the tip of your fourth finger--the ring finger--of the same hand the same distance above the inner corner of the other eye. Hold it there as well.

3. Place the tip of your middle finger about midway between, and 1/2 inch (1 cm) above your eyebrows. Leave it there for the rest of the pose.

4. Place your other hand on the back of your head. Cradle the back of your head with your palm, with your thumb at the base of your skull--where the skull and neck join. Continue this, along with the other points, until you want to leave the TAT pose.

No pressure is required from either hand. You only need to touch the points gently.

You can sit, stand, or lie down. Do whatever is most comfortable for you. You should only spend a maximum of 20 minutes per day in the TAT pose. And when you're finished, be sure to drink lots of water. On days when you do TAT, you should drink six to eight glasses of water, eight ounces each.

Your eyes can either be open or closed, whichever you prefer. Also, although there are nine steps in the TAT process, you can rest your arms at any time, even during steps. Make sure you feel comfortable. If the pose starts to hurt, just leave the pose until you feel better, and focus on the process itself.
