Renaissance Faires taking place in the Pacific Northwest are on a smaller scale than in some other areas of the country, but they have some authentic touches for unique experience. renaissance faires recreate a time in European history in the Middle Ages. Costumed characters role play with visitors, who get the chance to step back in time. The open air fairs are fun and educational.

Renaissance festival runs in conjunction with. main stage play "much Ado About Nothing" is an open air drama with jousting, archery, medieval music, dance, drama and feasting. Tickets $ Adults, $5 Seniors and students, Children under 14 free.

Idaho Shakespeare Festival
Outdoor amphitheater is a unique experience. State of the art equipment in a natural habitat seats 760.

Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire

September 8-9, 2007
Elizabethan Revels & Marketplace in an interactive living history village. Over 125 artisan stalls and 1,000 costumed players recreate the medieval ear with revelry and entertainment. "Eat, drink and by merry". Shrewsbury is an educational Living History creation featuring the arts, attractions and theater of the Faire. The. Research is done by the Shrew folks, which is what the fair members call themselves. Guest are encouraged to come in Elizabethan costume to better enjoy and get into the spirit of the event. Weapons must be peace-tied. Tickets $9.
