As the summer winds down it's time for one last weekend fling before school buses began dragging the kids away once again.
Here are some fabulous Ideas to make the last few weeks of summer full of tasty memories.

-Neo's Original Campfire S'mores-

1 box Cinnamon graham crackers

1 Flat Hershey plain chocolate bars

(Or ..
to make things more interesting ...

1 Flat Mr.Goodbars)

1 bag large marshmallows

Get a large cookie sheet and line with tinfoil.

Start laying graham crackers cinnamon side up in rows onto the pan

Break Hershey bars into 3 squares sections and lay them on top of the cinnamon side of the graham crackers.

Next, stand marshmallows on end on top of chocolate squares.

Add the other graham cracker on top of that make sure to place cinnamon side down.

Bake for about 15-20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Yes I said oven!

The secret to campfire S'mores is to premake them and wrap them into tinfoil once they have cooled. Then, when you get your fire going later at the campsite you can reheat them on the fire with no mess and stress! One time in a pinch we used the radiating heat of the top of our car to reheat them on a bright fall day.

You can make these really funky and fun if you jazz up the normal ingredients with surprise substitutes. Imagine a Reese's cup instead of the Hershey's bar or get white chocolate or cookies and cream candy bars. Or how about getting chocolate grahams to rock the campsite!

Recently, when we were camping on the fourth of July I offered our neighbors a few individually wrapped S'mores for their children. They came back to me and asked for the recipe because their young daughters had said it was the best thing they had ever eaten. It's all in the cinnamon and creativity of the ingredients.
