Stop banging your head against the wall

You know the definition of "crazy" is to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

I see the 2008 elections that way. We keep voting in the same people repeatedly. Sure, they have a different body, and different persona but they are really the same people. What is the real difference between Clinton, Obama , Giuliani, Thompson, and who is in office now? In my estimation, not much.

All of these people are Pro Income tax, Pro Big business, and anti "for the people." Just look at their records, look at their history. In the bible is says that you will know "them" (meaning other Christians) by their fruits. In my opinion, most politicians today have rotten fruit.

Nothing is ever going to change if we keep voting in the same type of people. A person can yell from the rooftops that they are a Christian, a Liberal, a Conservative, or whatever they want, but without proof backed up by actions it means absolutely nothing.

I keep looking for a candidate that speaks to the real issues. Health Care, Jobs, Taxes, Education to name a few. Sure, these candidates mentioned above do talk about these issues, but they offer up the same "solutions" that we've had in the past. It's time to do something new. It's time to shake things up a bit.

The media and the powers that be, try to keep us from learning about new candidates with innovative ideas. Last election year we had Denis Kucinich who was lucky to just be made fun of on Jay Leno. Every time he was interviewed by the media it was in a condescending, he doesn't have a chance, way. This is not objective reporting. Whenever you ask a leading question, you're not being objective. Whenever you start making fun of someone's appearance, you're getting off the topic.

This cycle we have a few new candidates on both sides that are not getting much of a voice. These candidates have new and innovative ideas. They are candidates who are willing to stand up and take a chance, often going against their party lines to do so. I hope that anyone who reads this will check them out.

Mike Gravel

Dennis Kucinich

Ron Paul

I won't vote for someone just because they're black anymore than I'd vote for someone just because they're a woman. I vote based on what they believe. Mike Gravel is a Unitarian Universalist, this type of person would keep religion out of the white house. Look it up.

Not sure about all the candidates that you mention, but Senator Obama is not at all big business, but the opposite. He has been outspoken about government corruption due to wealthy corporations using their lobbying power to create our laws. He is especially knowledgable as to how this translates to high costs of gas and prescription medications. He also believes in the Constitution and suspects a government that forces it's religious beliefs upon the people, even if the religious beliefs are his own. It would be doing the same thing to elect another "white" person to the office, which would be "crazy" when we have a candidate with such a diverse background, who is pro-women, not from old school miscogynist generations, being willing to serve the people, give them back the government and reducing the budget deficeit starting with ending an illegal war. We truly need an athiest to hold the office, so we could rid ourselves of Christian leaders that lead people to hate and think killing i
