Mel Blount is not only the greatest cornerback of all time he might be the greatest football player of all time. He was drafted almost 40 years ago, and he would be the biggest, strongest, and fastest cornerback today!!

Champ Bailey may get burnt a lot, but he has a quality that lots of the cornerbacks you see today (Like the oh-so-overrated Nnamdi Asomugha) and that is his ability to pursue and tackle. If anyone watches a Denver game, or just listens to one, you'll hear "Champ Bailey on the tackle" 8-10 times a game. You'll hear about a guy catching a ball over him, too, but how often do you hear "Nnamdi Asomugha on the tackle" unless the guy he's playing against caught the ball? Really?

I been watching football for a long long time and i seen deion sanders, ronnie lott, champ baily ect... and seen them get burned on to many plays. and they are mostly known for their speed and how atheltic they are, But i never seen a cornerback like Nnamdi Asomugha he completly shuts the other teams best wide receiver every game, maybe i seen the ball throw his way once every other game thats how dominating he is so THE BEST CORNERBACK I EVER SEEN IS NnAMDI ASOMUGHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best cornerback right know active is Nnamdi Asomugha and he is the most underrated conerback ever. Just watch the games they never throw the ball his way!!!
