The Rejection Hotline: A Service that Makes the Break-up Call for You

Giving Someone the "Brush Off" is Easier Than Ever

How many times have you found yourself being "Hit On" by someone you find less than desirable? Be it at a nightclub ,a party, or even the grocery store, most of us have experienced being approached and asked for our number by someone we just aren't interested in. What is the most
 non-confrontational way to give someone the "brush off"?

Try giving them the number to the Rejection Hotline instead of your own.

The Rejection Hotline is a number you can give a would-be suitor instead of your own. When the recipient of said number calls "you" to arrange a date, they will hear instead of your voice, a recorded message letting them know, in a humorous way, of your disinterest.

While the idea of giving a fake number to someone you aren't interested in isn't new, the Rejection Hotline's recorded message adds a fresh twist to an age old practice.

Started as a joke by Jeff Goldblatt of Massachusetts, the Rejection Hotline has grown into an internet phenomena and now offers numbers in most states and area codes.

The local number for my area provides callers with the following message;

"Hello this is not the person you were trying to call, you've reached rejection hotline provided by the all new rejection hotline.com and sponsored by the new March 9th Holiday, Get over it day. Seriously, It's really a new holiday, check it out at getoveritday.com. Anyway, the person that gave you this rejection hotline number did not want you to have their real number. We know this sucks, but don't be too devastated.

This is actual very real. A friend of mine give me the number and I called it out of curiousity. My feelings would be so hurt if someone I was interested in give me this number instead.
